Sussex Wings is a regional branch of the GWOCGB and covers the whole of East & West Sussex.
Over the years we have moved our monthly meeting venue throughout the two counties, partly to
accommodate members that live at the extremities of our region and partly due to providing a meeting
place big enough to accommodate our growing numbers. This is now the second season that the Alma Inn,
Framfield road Uckfield have hosted our monthly meeting venue. The Alma is a traditional English pub
with a warm and friendly atmosphere that also do a very nice Sunday roast at a reasonable price.
The meetings will usually be held in the hall at the rear of the pub on the second Sunday of the month.
To find the pub take the B1234 (Framfield Rd) off Uckfield High street. You will find the pub about a ¼
of a mile from the junction. We are a friendly lot but if in doubt you can always call a committee member
who will be more than glad to arrange to meet you prior to the meeting and introduce you to the rest of
the rabble.
Like most of the regional clubs we have supported a variety of charities raising money by holding raffles
at the monthly meeting or collecting donations at static displays and events. This year is no different and
we have selected the SERV or "Blood Runners" as they are more commonly known as.
